Christi was diagnosed with migraines at age 17 and sought out treatment from a neurologist who used dietary intervention as primary treatment. Within a few days, Christi was migraine-free and instantly intrigued with how diet can manage different diseases. She subsequently pursued B.S. and M.S. degrees in Nutrition from Arizona State University and researched how carbohydrate intake affects mood in women. Meanwhile, Christi attended ASU’s dietetic internship program, making her eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam. While knee-deep in research and coursework, Christi worked for a large weight loss company and local gym. Soon after passing the RD exam, Christi was involved in the successful design and implementation of a diabetes treatment program. Currently, Christi works in the nutritional management of children with special needs, freelance nutrition writing and private nutrition counseling for children and adults.
Christi’s passion is to provide nutrition information in way that is understandable and applicable to all age groups, genders and fitness levels.
